Ickwell Pre-school is a registered charity run by an elected and dedicated committee of volunteers, mostly made up of parents, carers and family members of children attending our Pre-School. As a registered charity our Pre-school relies on parent membership of the committee as we are not allowed to operate fully without a fully functioning committee.

Our Committee is fundamental to the smooth running of our Pre-school. They work collaboratively with our Pre-school staff to ensure that the major decision making is in the hands of the families who use the Pre-school. They ensure open communications between our Pre-school and families; they ensure our Pre-school’s financial well-being and organise the much relied upon fundraising and social events which help to replace worn-out equipment and resources.

Our annual AGM’s are held every October/November and are open to every parent or carer. Joining our committee is a great way for you to share your experience and knowledge, gain new skills and get to know other families and people in your community.

If you would like to join the committee, support the Pre-school at fundraising events or can offer your skills in any other way, please speak to the Pre-school Manager, a committee member or contact our Committee Chair Person.
