Ickwell Pre-school Forest School provides a unique and inspiring learning environment for children. The opportunity for children to learn and develop a respect and love for their surroundings while exploring, investigating and extending their curiosity is facilitated in the woodland using natural resources and child centred learning approaches.
Our aims are those at the heart of the ethos of ‘The Forest School Priniciples’.
Our Forest School handbook details all policies and procedures and is available to view upon request in setting.
The children are very lucky to have their own Forest School Garden, where they can play, investigate and have lot of messy fun.
In addition to this we offer weekly Forest School sessions, throughout the year, in the beautiful private woodland nature reserve of Ickwell Bury. Each term a group of children are given the opportunity to be taken across to the grounds to join in with the Forest school activities. A small additional cost incurs for this extra curricular activity.
